Kuna Is Not the Small Town It Was a Decade Ago.
The U.S. Census Bureau estimated Kuna’s population at 31,525 on July 1, 2025 - up 30.8% from the 2020 estimates base. The 2020 Census counted 24,011 residents, compared with 15,210 in 2010.
That growth shows up on the ground: new subdivisions, move-ins, landscaping, fencing, home improvements, infrastructure, commercial projects, and active construction. Those are exactly the kinds of projects where temporary dumpster capacity can keep a property or jobsite organized.
Kuna’s Story Runs Through Indian Creek.
Long before today’s subdivisions, the area was part of the homeland of Shoshone, Bannock, and Northern Paiute peoples. The City’s history traces later travel through the area to the Silver Trail, a stage route between Boise City and Silver City, and to an early railroad station beside Indian Creek.
The modern townsite took shape after irrigation made settlement more practical. The City identifies 1909 as a turning point, when lots were marketed, buildings rose quickly, and a permanent community began to form. Kuna was incorporated as a village on September 15, 1915.
A Growing City Creates Every Kind of Cleanup.
Kuna’s mix of older neighborhoods, newer subdivisions, rural-edge properties, commercial corridors, and active construction means there is no single “typical” dumpster job.

Kuna Is Actively Planning for What Comes Next.
In 2026 the City began a new comprehensive-plan update aimed at the challenges of a rapidly growing community. Recent future-land-use work is serving as a foundation for long-range decisions about housing, business, infrastructure, transportation, and community character.
Downtown is part of that conversation too. Current Development Services updates include a Downtown Kuna Plan visioning process, while city policy documents include east and west urban-renewal plans, downtown design standards, and transportation studies.
Kuna’s Outdoor Spaces Run Right Through the Heart of the Community.
The City maintains active and passive parks, neighborhood green spaces, fields, trails, and recreation areas. Indian Creek and the greenbelt give Kuna a particularly recognizable outdoor spine.

Kuna’s development story now goes well beyond residential subdivisions. Continued business and infrastructure investment is arriving alongside housing growth, including Meta’s data-center investment in the community.
Meta reported that it invested more than $70 million to build a water and wastewater treatment facility associated with its Kuna data center and then gifted that facility to the City. The broader picture is a city experiencing residential, commercial, industrial, and infrastructure growth at the same time.
